![]() I want to expand on this a bit, because it’s one of my key complaints about “low- to mid-level” Mount and Blade. The ability to set up a “camp” of some form and stash some troops there before you get a castle of your own. Next week, they go back to staff interviews - one of their concept artists will be the next one answering questions. I'm kind of unreasonably excited by the last one. Charger or bust!Īlso, when you upgrade a soldier to a cavalry-type, you need to provide him or her with a horse. If you want to wear heavy armor into battle, I don't think you'll be able to do so on a sumpter horse anymore. ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, horses are going to have their own inventory slots, and there'll be items like "Pack Saddles" that increase the horse's weight-bearing capacity. but not it's armor value.īecause, if you want to make it "Black-Caparisoned" with decent armor, you do so by equipping the horse with the Black Caparison armor. you'll instead just get a "Hunter." That'll set its charge damage, speed, manoeuvrability, hit points and carrying capacity. Instead of buying, e.g., a "Heavy Black-Caparisoned Hunter," as one might do in Prophesy of Pendor. This one is about approximately 50% of the entire Mount & Blade raison d'etre: Mounts!Īnd, frankly, the new mount system they've got going sounds fan-fucking-tastic.
